deSerene

Projected in the gallery installation segment of Rhythm + Visions / Expanded Live, a visual music festival hosted by USC and Visions & Voices in 2013, deSerene explores the progressive decay and rebuilding of civilization. Using the iconography of the triptych and music influenced by the cityscape, the icons of the Crown, the Queen, and the Spade merge and distort until uniting into a composition both destructive and formidable.

The optimal presentation for deSerene would have been in a Gallery since being in the presence of these triptychs, especially in reflection to the floor, would been an imposing and enveloping experience.
